This textbook is designed to support a two-semester mathematics content course sequence for future elementary teachers. Sections are designed to be worked through collaboratively in class with frequent investigations and think/pair/share activities. Each chapter ends with a problem bank of more in-depth homework exercises. The book emphasizes building students’ confidence and their ability to solve problems and explain mathematical ideas.
